Is this for everyone?

It doesn’t matter if you’ve never opened a DAW or you’ve been producing for years and hit a wall. Everyone starts somewhere, and there’s no such thing as a question that’s “too basic” to bring to a session.

Most tutorials teach theory, not how professional tracks actually get built. That’s usually why you end up stuck at the same level no matter how many you watch.

What you’ll learn

A session is built around what you actually need

Every session is tailored to you. One block usually zooms in on one or two of these topics, picked together based on where you’re stuck. Working through everything here typically takes 8 to 10 lesson blocks, with homework assignments in between to practice what you’ve learned.

01

DAW navigation

Getting comfortable in your DAW so the software stops being the thing that slows you down.

02

Music Theory

The theory that actually helps you write and arrange, without turning it into a full music school course.

03

Arrangement & song structure

Building a track that actually goes somewhere, from intro to drop to outro, with structure that holds a listener’s attention.

04

Sound design

Building and shaping the sounds your track needs, from scratch or from a starting patch.

05

Mixing

Getting your track balanced and release-ready to go into mastering.

06

Vocal recording & editing

Recording and editing vocals specifically for electronic music, tuning, timing and processing included.

07 (optional)

Release plan

If you want to release the track yourself, a plan for how to actually get it out.

Coaching by DAW

Pick the DAW you already work in, or pick one

You don’t have to switch software to get coaching. Sessions are taught in whichever of these you already use, or help picking one if you haven’t started yet.

FL Studio

The most common starting point for hardstyle and EDM producers, built around a fast, pattern-based workflow.

Ableton Live

Strong for sound design and arranging on the fly, popular with producers who also perform live.

Cubase

The DAW every Reeven Music production is finished in, deep MIDI editing and mixing tools.

Reaper

Lightweight and fully customizable, often used for flexible mixing and mastering routing.

Logic Pro

Mac-only, with a strong stock plugin library, a common choice for Apple users.

Fender Studio

A newer, mobile-first app, a good entry point for songwriting and quick ideas on the go.

Not sure whether to start in FL Studio, Ableton or something else? There’s a plain-language breakdown for that.

Frequently asked

Questions producers usually ask first

No. Sessions are 1-on-1 and built around your level, from never having opened a DAW to being an experienced producer stuck on a specific problem.

Sessions are held at the studio in Voorburg or online, both included in the price above. Prefer to have your coaching on location instead? That’s available for an extra €60.

One lesson block is 2 hours, starting from €175 per person excluding tax. Groups and full classes are available on request.

Tutorials are a fine starting point, but they teach generic theory that applies to any track. Coaching works on your actual track, your actual problem, so you fix what’s holding you back instead of collecting techniques you may never use.

Genre matters. A general production course won’t teach you the kick design, arrangement pacing or mix techniques specific to hardstyle or hardcore. Sessions are built around the genre you’re working in from the first lesson.

No. That’s roughly what it takes to work through the full curriculum, but a single block on one specific topic, like sound design or mixing, works just as well.

75 per block (2 hours). Most producers need around 8 to 10 blocks to go from zero to fully independent, with homework in between each session. You can also book just a few blocks if you only want help with a specific skill, like mixing or sound design.

You don’t need a finished track or a clear plan to book a session. Showing up with just curiosity is enough to start.
